Property Director of Sales
Job Summary
The Director of Sales leads the commercial effort for the Hilton Garden Inn Bozeman and Home2 Suites by Hilton Bozeman, driving top-line revenue across both properties. This dual-brand role is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans, cultivating strong relationships with clients throughout the Bozeman and greater Gallatin Valley market, and maximizing market share across transient, group, and extended-stay business. The ideal candidate is a dynamic, results-driven leader with deep hospitality knowledge, familiarity with the Hilton brand and systems, and a proven ability to grow revenue in a competitive mountain-market destination.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy Development: Create and implement effective, brand-aligned sales strategies to maximize revenue and market share for both the Hilton Garden Inn and Home2 Suites Bozeman.
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate the property sales team to achieve individual and combined-property goals.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key local accounts, corporate clients, travel partners, group planners, and Bozeman-area demand generators such as Montana State University, Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport, and regional healthcare and outdoor-recreation businesses.
Market Analysis: Conduct market research and competitive analysis of the Bozeman/Gallatin Valley market to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of seasonal and industry trends.
Revenue Management: Collaborate with the revenue management team and General Manager to optimize pricing, segmentation, and inventory strategies across both properties.
Brand & System Compliance: Leverage Hilton sales tools and systems (e.g., Delphi/CRM, PEP) and ensure all activity, leads, and bookings are logged and current
Sales Reporting: Prepare and present regular sales reports to property leadership, GenH and ownership, highlighting performance metrics, pace, and areas for improvement.
Event & Group Coordination: Oversee the planning and execution of group blocks, sales events, trade shows, and promotional activities that showcase both hotels.
Budget Management: Develop and manage the sales department budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources across the dual-property operation.
Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for the sales team to enhance their skills and performance.
Qualifications
Education: A degree or similar work experience in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the hospitality industry, with at least 2 years in a leadership role; Hilton brand and dual-property or select-service experience preferred.
