Led by an outstanding team of board-certified orthopedic surgeons, they’ve established a well-deserved reputation in the community for compassionate and high-quality treatment.
We are growing and need your help. The Orthopaedic Institute of Henderson is hiring a Revenue Cycle Management Director. This role is a strategic leadership role for someone who treats the revenue cycle like a CFO would: with fluency in contracts, credentialing, payments, and the numbers that drive practice performance, not just the workflow of getting claims out the door.
About the Role
This is a critical role for the Orthopaedic Institute. If you are someone who can walk in, take ownership of the revenue cycle, and quickly put dashboards, metrics, and a clear action plan in front of the partners. You are exactly who we are looking for. This role reports to practice administration and works directly with the physician-partners. You will focus on leading the team, creating the billing strategy, and being the bridge between billing staff and leadership. You will be translating the complexity of payer rules, denials, and contracts into insights for partners to make data driven decisions. The right person can sit down with the partners, explain what’s happening in the revenue cycle in plain language, and have the partners genuinely understand it.
What You’ll Own
- Revenue cycle leadership: Serve as the strategic and operational leader of the full revenue cycle: billing, coding oversight, collections, payment posting, credentialing, and payer contracts.
- Metrics and dashboards: Create real-time dashboard to proactively analyze revenue cycle metrics to identify problems and surface issues. Provide reporting to practice leadership.
- Team management: Recruit, lead, coach, and hold accountable a billing team.
- Bridge to leadership: Act as the conduit between billing staff and practice leadership, translating billing and reimbursement complexity into clear, actionable recommendations for partners and administration.
- Payer contracts: Review, negotiate, and renegotiate insurance/payer contracts; identify weaknesses in existing agreements; and advise leadership on new contract opportunities.
- Credentialing: Oversee provider credentialing and payer enrollment to prevent revenue disruption and ensure timely reimbursement.
What We’re Looking For
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, finance, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 5 years of progressive revenue cycle management experience in a healthcare or medical practice setting
- 3 years Leading the management of a billing/revenue cycle team.
- Experience negotiating and managing payer/insurance contracts
- Strong working knowledge of credentialing, billing, and payment/reimbursement processes across commercial and government payers.
- A track record of building and presenting revenue cycle dashboards, and KPIs.
- Experience in surgical/procedural specialty billing: orthopedic billing strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex billing and financial concepts into clear, plain-language insights for non-billing audiences.
